Vision Rear Entry

The Vision is a rear entry modification with lowered floor. The floor is lowered approximately 8 inches, and combined with kneeling, results in an entrance height from the ground of only 6 inches. The Vision modification can be installed on all Daimler-Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors minivan chassis. The Vision is the ideal vehicle for a family that wishes to include a wheelchair user in their day-to-day travel plans.

Manual Conversion

The beauty of the manual rear entrance lowered floor wheelchair accessible minivan is its simplicity. There are virtually no moving parts to wear out!  What is a “lowered floor” van?

A person seated in a wheelchair usually sits taller than a person sitting in a seat of a van and usually is taller than the doorway leading into the vehicle. A structural modification commonly referred to as a lowered floor, can be done to either a full-sized van or a mini-van which increases not only the headroom in the center of the vehicle but also through the doorway. The benefits of lowered floor vans are not only added headroom, but the person seated in the wheelchair now has the ability to see out of the windows like everyone else seated in the vehicle. Most people that drive from a wheelchair need to sit lower to allow forward vision out of the windshield.

Another option to full size vans that require additional head space in the cabin are raised roof vans. The advantage to raised roof vans would be the fact that there is less exterior work done involving crucial automotive components. An additional feature that is frequently used in conjunction with a raised roof is a raised door system. This system adds extra inches to the entry way of the modified vehicles and can go a long way into easing the transition for a person in a wheelchair to get behind the wheel. The raised roof and raised door systems are commonly used for our clients who operate a motorized wheelchair or a wheelchair with more than standard height. At Clock Mobility, they use a reinforced steel caging system to complete their raised roof vans.

Our foam grip handle was designed two inches longer in length than most hand controls, ensuring comfortable driving control and greater leverage when braking and accelerating.

You will recognize this popular hand control. It now comes with a standard bent brake rod which allows the control to be mounted higher in the vehicle for your driving convenience.

3700 Hand Control Push/Pull Control

The versatile Tri-Pin was designed to feel comfortable. It may be mounted for right- or left-hand operation, according to your preference. It can be installed in a variety of full-size vans, including lowered-floor minivans.

Our Left Foot Accelerator is easily installed and easy to remove for other drivers. It allows you to use your left foot to accelerate, while the pedal guard protects the right accelerator.
